U.S. Commerce Department:
Fourth-quarter Non Cash Transaction e-commerce sales in the U.S. rose nearly 15 percent from the same period a year earlier to $79.6 billion, according to estimates released Tuesday by the Census Bureau of the Department of Commerce. That’s compared to year-over-year growth in total retail sales of 3.7 percent. On a seasonally adjusted basis, e-commerce sales in Q4 2014 grew 2.3 percent from the previous quarter. Retail e-commerce sales in the fourth quarter of 2014 accounted for 6.7 percent of total retail sales during the three-month period that includes the holidays.
